CHANGZHOU, China – As the 2022 Dragon Boat Festival approached, the entire team at Jiangsu Daxuan Welding Materials Co., Ltd. worked through the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and global supply-chain disruption on production and research and development. As scheduled, Daxuan successfully delivered its first batch of DXE-71 flux-cored wire to Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, China's largest privately owned shipbuilder.
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group is a large enterprise group focused on shipbuilding and offshore engineering, complemented by shipping and leasing, trade and logistics, and property development. It was the first Chinese shipbuilder to be listed in Singapore, where it trades under stock code BS6.
Since 2009, the group's shipbuilding output has consistently ranked among the top five in China. Its per-capita shipbuilding output, profitability and tax contribution are also among the highest in the Chinese shipbuilding industry. In 2020, it ranked No. 184 among China's top 500 private enterprises and No. 103 among China's top 500 private manufacturing enterprises. It was also ranked among the world's top ten shipbuilding companies. The company received the Singapore Exchange's Most Transparent Company Award and held a long-term corporate credit rating of AA+ at the time of publication.
This successful delivery marked another recognition of Daxuan's product quality by a major shipbuilding company. It also demonstrated our pursuit of excellence and our commitment to supporting the construction of important national engineering projects.
The year 2022 brought many challenges. Daxuan nevertheless remained committed to its customer-first service philosophy and continued to increase investment in product development to meet the quality and cost requirements of both new and long-standing customers.
As the ancient Chinese poet Qu Yuan wrote: "The road ahead is long and difficult, but I will search high and low for the truth."
